Research Assistant - Fermentation Process Development Allylix

This position will be supervised by fermentation process development research scientists or engineers and assist in the development of processes for the biosynthesis of sesquiterpenes or other high value products by genetically engineered microorganisms. The positions require a BS or higher degree in chemical or biochemical engineering, life sciences, or chemistry and experience in fermentation of microorganisms.Primary duties will include tasks associated with preparation, running and monitoring fermentations, and processing samples for analyses. The position will require equipment preparation, preventive maintenance, and tracking of parts and consumables associated with the operations. The position also requires strong microbiological and analytical chemistry skills, the ability to analyze and interpret data, organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency.
