Research Associate III - ScreenPatch ChanTest
Minimum qualification are a bachelor?s or master?s degree in related science and 3+ years of laboratory experience.
Under supervision of the Senior Director, the Research Associate will be responsible for performing duties that support experiments and data collection related to the development, validation and automation of the electrophysiology plate-based assays targeting ion channels and transporters. Technical skills needed include experience with cell culture, extensive background and broad experience in developing e-phys cell based assays, experience in developing highly reproducible 384-well cell based assays, familiarity & experience with high throughput automated liquid handlers, especially with Zephyr and Sciclone from Caliper. Responsibilities will also include equipment set-up, calibration and maintenance; literature review to develop new methods; documentation in accordance with operating procedures; technical problem-solving; and preparation of reports describing progress of studies.
