Research Associate/Research Technician IMMCO Diagnostics, Inc.
Individuals in this position will be responsible for executing and managing projects associated with immunoassay for the diagnosis of immunological disorders. The person will be responsible for performance, innovation, quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness of projects assigned and will report to a senior scientist and/or project manager.
? Development of immunoassays with emphasis towards disease association and ease of use with timely conclusions.
? Follow company?s design control guidelines and meet adequate regulatory compliance (FDA, CLIA and ISO) requirements.
? Work in collaboration with other research scientists.
? Inventory control.
? Preparation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and other protocols.
? Work with manufacturing in the transfer of technology for production.
? Education - B.S. in Medical Technology or Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related discipline (Technician). Special consideration will be given to candidates with MS or previous experience in the biotechnology/clinical diagnostics field. Candidates with MT certification accepted.
? Experience - Experience in ELISA or solid phase immunoassay development required. In depth knowledge and detailed understanding of immunoassay technology preferred.
? Qualifications- Ability to analyze and interpret data/results. Experience in handling multiple priorities, and the ability to work independently. Scientific knowledge of immunology and associations with human disease preferred. Proficiency with standard office and laboratory analysis software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with GMP/GLP guidelines is helpful.
