Research Associate/Senior Research Associate - Immunoassay Reagent Development
Description: Quanterix is an exciting early stage company whose mission is to develop a game-changing platform that combines proprietary single-molecule sensitivity, multiplexing, and full automation. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Research Associate/Sr Research Associate to join our Assay Development Group. If you have experience developing immunoassays in the in vitro diagnostics industry, this could be a very exciting position for you.
Responsibilities will broadly include developing and validating new immunoassay reagents for Quanterix's proprietary technology with an objective of meeting regulatory requirements for commercialization as IVD products. You will apply your laboratory skills and experience to develop new reagents and generate high quality data in support of verification and validation. You will also be helping develop documentation and procedures for validation, testing and transfer to manufacturing toward commercialization.
Requirements: B.S or M.S in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Science. At least 3 years of experience in life science or IVD immunoassay development including: ELISA reagent development and optimization, assay protocol optimization, migration of ELISAs to automated instrumentation, verification and validation, experience conjugating antibodies, probes, peptides, etc. to surfaces (preferably microbeads), biotinylation, scale-up and process improvement techniques (e.g. DOE), preparation and execution of reagent stability protocols, preparation of quality control SOPs.
Experience with infectious disease assay development and/or multiplexing a big plus.
You must have excellent organizational, record keeping and communication skills. A strong work ethic to generate high quality data under tight deadlines, collaborative and proactive attitude a must.
