Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focuses on creating, developing, and testing ICD detection algorithms as well as managing and tracking algorithm development activities.
- Works with the engineering team through the concept, design, debug, integration, test, and manufacturing transition stages.
- Works with the engineering team to devise solutions that meet system and schedule requirements.
- Builds and populates internal database for ICD detection algorithm development and testing.
- Develops and tests CWA.
- Develops tools for ECG collection and transfer.
- Simulates and tests the performance of the R-wave detector.
- Responds to Customer Complaints, if necessary.
- Develops animal study protocols, executes testing, and writes reports summarizing results.
- Complies with all Cameron Health approved design standards.
- Complies with all design related standards as developed by external regulatory groups.
- Complies with department and corporate quality initiatives.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Required Skills
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Algorithm development experience required
- Experience with reading ECGs is required
- Experience with developing animal study protocols, and executing these protocols under GLP controls is required
- Development experience must include working in a controlled engineering design environment.
- Experience must include real-time embedded constraints.
Required Experience
- With BS, 7-9 years in medical device or other high-reliability environment, or with MS, 4-6 years in medical device or other high-reliability
- Product development experience in the medical device industry strongly preferred.
- Field experience in the Cardiac Rhythm Management arena is preferred but not required.
- Experience with planning and executing complex projects preferred.
