The Resource Manager (RM) is uniquely qualified based on their background to coach, mentor and direct individuals and groups of consultants in all matters consistent with VCS? core values and guidelines. The RM is responsible for developing and maintaining the appropriate level of personal connection with each consultant. Moreover, as a career advisor to their team, they are responsible for assistance with issue resolution, professional development planning, and quality of performance.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years working as a healthcare IT consultant/manager or working for a healthcare IT vendor
Minimum of three years leading and/or managing people
Ability to travel as required to meet with employees, clients and to attend other company-related events.
Organizational Focus
Approval and System Process Responsibilities
- Consider requests for laptop software/hardware upgrades taking into account business need and budget
- Review consultants? status reports to include issue escalation and resolution
- Responsible for the accuracy of the Consultant Schedule including approved vacation and training time
- Responsible for the accuracy of the Practice Dashboard
- Perform Subcontractor Orientation
VCS Policy/Procedures
- Provide continued orientation/communications to consultants for all policy/procedures
Maintain communication with assigned team members as directed by communication guidelines
Provide assistance with time/expense report review including compliance and clarification of any questions related to billable or paid time off policies
Ensure consultant resume updates are current per the policy with support from Human Resources
Participate in the creation of marketing collateral including idea development and first round editing for relevance
Career Development Focus
Complete and conduct performance evaluations in conjunction with Practice Director
Review and recommend promotion applications
Coaching and counseling of consultants related to performance, career initiatives, goals, and project related functions
Engagement/Client Focus
Coach consultants in interviewing techniques and telephonic skills/manners
Prepare consultants before client interviews so that they understand the scope of the project and how their experience relates to the engagement
Participate in sales process to include recommendations for resource needs related to RFP response development and client requests for resources
Prepare and distribute Assignment Quality Assessments (AQAs) to client with tracking assistance from CSG
Collaborate in developing marketing and profitability strategies for the organization
