Retention Sales Representative MegaPath

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Retention rep position is focused on managing the MegaPath installed customer base. In this role they will contact customers to sell them additional managed services or upgrade existing services. They will proactively contact accounts with expiring contracts to renew their services with MegaPath. The retention team will also focus on saving accounts who have submitted cancellation requests by making them pricing offers and helping resolve customer satisfaction issues to keep them from turning off services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to inbound e-mail and calls from customers about their existing account
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve service, support, or billing issues that will keep them from canceling service with MegaPath.
- Negotiate price and terms for customers with expiring contracts to keep churn at a minimum.
- Will be assigned to outbound calling campaigns to contact installed customer base and sell new services.
- Maintain accurate account records in customer database and sales activity in Salesforce.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years experience inside sales or account management working with business customers.
- Knowledge of data networking, managed security and VoIP services a plus.
- College degree or industry experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to communicate accurately with customers and coworkers using email or the phone.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage their time and tasks to completion with minimum supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant use of keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to work at a desk in a call center environment.
