Job SummaryPing Identity Corporation is a rapidly growing software company located in downtown Denver. Ping is looking for an experienced revenue accountant to join its finance team. Your role with the company will be responsible for all accounting and analysis as it relates to software revenue.
Full Time
Job Functions
Technical research as it relates to revenue recognition for software
Review of contracts to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures
Partner with management and sales department on various issues as it relates to revenue recognition
Prepare, review and analyze revenue reports
Develop policies, procedures, and strategies to reduce exposure and improve company performance
Calculate, review and book contracts and sales orders utilizing VSOE
Oversee renewal of all renewable contracts
Maintain deferred revenue spreadsheets and analysis
Prepare month-end related journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
Assist with month-end close, quarterly reviews and annual audit
Prepare accruals and reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger
Essential Qualifications
3+ years experience to include revenue accounting within a software (SaaS) company
SOP 97-2 knowledge
Sound knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures
Strong oral and written communication skills
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Advance MS Excel experience
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with Netsuite ERP a plus
Public Accounting and CPA a strong plus
