Job Code: 13-010Job Summary:
The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the Company?s revenue recognition process. This position will interface with the sales operations, logistics and financial reporting functions within the organization to identify, report, and control the Company? s accounting for its revenue generating arrangements.
Essential Functions:
Identify, report, and control the Company?s reporting for all revenue generating transactions in each monthly close.
Assist in the tracking and payment of all commissionable amounts owed.
Assist in the design and implementation of a scalable process to enhance the Company?s reporting capabilities, including the automation of various aspects of the Company?s revenue recognition process.
Review and provide feedback on existing accounting policies.
Liaise with the Financial Reporting Accountant in the analysis of new accounting and reporting guidance issued by the FASB, SEC, EITF, etc. to determine the implications on internal financial operations and external reporting.
Liaise with the Director of FP & A and Financial Reporting Accountant in analyzing budget to actual analysis and enhancing forecasting for GAAP revenues.
Document and perform internal control testwork for key controls in the revenue reporting process.
Implement new systems and processes as necessary to improve efficiencies and to meet financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, Masters degree desirable.
CertifiedPublic Accountant (CPA) required; Big 4 experience preferable.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Public company accounting experience required.
Adequate technical knowledge of current GAAP.
Knowledge of and experience with SOX 404 preferred.
Excellent decision-making,problem-solving, communication and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.
