As a revenue analyst at Airbnb, you will use financial modeling and statistical analysis to drive practical business impact. This position will serve as the finance lead on coordinating global revenue reporting and accounting with extensive interaction and business partnering with peers in financial planning, operations and engineering.
Develop and maintain financial models to track and report revenue and other performance metrics. Analysis to encompass current and historic trend evaluation including the impact of changes to pricing, foreign currency exchange rates and geographic business mix.
Lead monthly revenue accounting closing processes, including preparing journal entries and variance analysis of actual results as compared to prior periods and internal forecasts.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhancecontrols over revenue reporting and proactively drive change management where warranted.
Maintain flowcharts and other process documents of the Company?s internal revenue systems and verify that changes are tracked in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with company policy and US GAAP.
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to evaluate the financial and reporting impact of product changes.
Provide assistance with internal and external audits and special projects as needed.
Minimum of 3 years in a revenue reporting or financial analysis role with a high-volume, multi-national organization.
BS and/or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or Information Systems.
Strong experience with Excel, financial modeling and SQL.
Strong understanding of US GAAP (CPA a plus).
Superior problem solving and analytical skills and ability to communicate with management teams.
Appreciation for data integrity, enthusiasm to drive results.
Ability to work productively in a fast paced, dynamic environment and be a solutions-oriented team player working collaboratively across the organization.
