Eloqua is looking for a passionate and talented Revenue Analyst to join our team in Vienna, VA.
Reporting to Eloqua?s Manager of Revenue Accounting, this position is responsible for analyzing and assuring the monthly revenue stream for the entire company. The candidate must be hard working, detail-oriented, proactive, energetic and able to perform independently in a fast-paced environment which requires a team-player approach. This is a hands-on position in a high-performance group with a lot of corporate visibility and impact. This person will interact with many other groups and needs to have solid people skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and process contracts with a firm understanding of the revenue recognition rules
- Assists extensively with Sales Operations by ensuring accurate deals and continuity
- Assist in processing sales orders, preparing invoices and credit memos
- Prepare and maintain a monthly deferred revenue roll-forward analysis by customer
- Analyze the monthly revenue fluctuations to assure an accurate, consistent stream that is recognized in accordance with policy
- Determine the source of any revenue anomalies and lead the resolution efforts
- Develop and prepare analyses relating to the monthly recognized revenue by: customer; sales channel; month; quarter; year
- Assist in quarterly reporting
- Using the bookings reports, reconcile that all deals that have been booked have been invoiced thereby assuring the revenue recognition
- Assist in new product pricing and creation processes
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BS/BA Finance or Accounting
- 4 ? 6 years experience in Finance and Accounting
- Proficient in applying the concepts of Software Revenue Recognition to include: SOP-97-2, SAB 101, EITF 00-21 and EITF 08-1
- Work experience in the software industry
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in gathering data, preparing analysis and drawing conclusions
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
- Experience in working with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced business environment
- Accuracy and timeliness in processing accounting information
- Strong team player
- Special Projects as needed
