Requirements:
3-5 years of revenue experience in revenue recognition areas
BS in Accounting or Finance
Experience with financial systems Oracle R12 and Salesforce a plus.
Strong MS Excel skills highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
The position reports to the Director of Revenue. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced, changing environment working across many different functions within the business and finance.
Responsible for reviewing sales orders and sales agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general revenue documents and contracts.
Knowledge of ASC 605-25, ASC 985- 605 and EITF 00-21 and related revenue pronouncements.
Organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet deadlines.
Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, and effectively present information to managers, peers, and customers.
Perform quarterly BESP of fair value analysis for the Company's various multiple element deliverables.
On a quarterly basis, update and maintain BESP/VSOE analyses and memo to ensure continuing compliance and proper revenue recognition in accordance with 08-1 (ASU No. 2009-13) and 09-3 (ASU No. 2009-14).
Perform month-end close tasks associated with revenue recognition, including the preparation of deferred revenue reconciliations, validating deferred revenue, and posting of monthly revenue journal entries as requires
Build working relationships with cross-functional organizations within the Company and outside the organization.
Work actively with external auditors to ensure that revenue recognition interpretations are consistent and compliant with GAAP
Ad-hoc projects as and when required
