Job Description: Gilt City is seeking a Revenue Planning Manager to own the forecasting and planning of analytics that drive increased sales & revenues in a multi-market sales environment. S/he will play a critical role in leading the development and execution of key initiatives that deliver measurable business results (e.g. revenue growth, new customer acquisition) to help establish Gilt City as an industry leader. This position is a managerial one with the opportunity to oversee the career development of 1-2 direct reports.
Responsibilities:
Deliver sales strategy and provide direction through analysis and understanding of multiple influencers that impact sales including customer shopping preferences and purchase behavior.
Provide insight and guidance on optimal sales mix, pricing, categories and vendors to drive overall company revenue and member acquisition.
Own/co- lead broader strategic initiatives, e.g., new lead generation and offer scoring systems
Drive and develop sales forecasting/planning processes.
Determine, understand, and create best in class tools, materials, and perspective to arm field sales team across multiple markets.
Work closely with COO and Head of Sales to outline goals/targets for the sales team across multiple markets at the beginning of each quarter.
Analyze and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of sales, systems, costs and results.
Understand how to assess, define and implement process and operational improvements.
Analyze the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for Gilt City to further distinguish its offering
Assess company strengths and weaknesses in the market, determine what can addressed and how, and champion internally to affect change in product, positioning, pricing, packaging, etc.
Proactively review and challenge the status quo to drive game changing results.
Using all data and resources available, facilitate and promulgate a shared understanding of the whole picture to develop optimal plans to drive success.
Qualifications:
Sophisticated understanding of sales planning process
8+ years minimum related experience.
Bachelor?s degree in Business or another quantitative field.
Mastery of Excel.
A highly analytical mind and a meticulous attention to detail.
Self-motivated, nimble and solution-driven
Ability to influence decisions and strategy
Ability to remove roadblocks
