Revenue Manager A10 Networks

The Revenue Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and is responsible for all areas related to revenue recognition. This position will be responsible for adherence to strict deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities related to deferred revenue and revenue recognized including, but not limited to, coordination of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process as it relates to revenue, preparation of month-end reports and calculating, maintaining & safeguarding of supporting revenue recognition documentation.
Principal Accountabilities:
Management
Proactively manage communication of revenue recognition policies/process to internal and external stakeholders including company auditors
Transactions:
Actively engage with all internal constituents on all aspects of transaction flow including, but not limited to, sales & finance management and order processing
Calculation of VSOE, TPE or BESP to determine ?Selling Price? of deliverables in a multiple element arrangement with associated supporting documentation for multiple geographic regions
Calculation of appropriate deferred revenue balances with associated supporting documentation
Preparation of monthly revenue journal entries
Preparation of accounting position papers related to revenue recognition by analyzing terms of customer agreements
Preparation of quarter and year end supporting documentation for review and audits
Additional Accountabilities:
Initial tasks will include
Creation and documentation of revenue recognition processes
Assistance with accounting system conversion
Assistance in creation of S-1
Assistance re-audit of 2 prior years
Process improvement enhancements
Desired Qualifications:
The revenue manager candidate should have, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, a CPA and 7+ years of experience including management of revenue recognition for a public software or network equipment company. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience with SEC reporting, SOX, international accounting and Oracle Financials are strongly preferred.
