Revenue Reporting & Government Reporting Manager Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Position Description
The Revenue Reporting & Government Manager will be responsible for implementing the Company?s revenue reporting including reporting world-wide gross to net calculations, managing a 3rd party outsourced provider for US government reporting as well as support the Legal/Compliance department with Compliance initiatives pertaining to aggregate spend, transparency, and interactions with Healthcare Professionals and Organizations.
This individual will assist in establishing and maintaining accounting procedures and best practices. This individual will report to the Controller. This is a new position that will interact with all levels of management. This is a hands-on position and the ability to multitask and work with others is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly and quarterly world-wide revenue reporting and gross to net calculations
Accountable for ensuring timely and accurate calculation of government price factors utilized for federal drug reimbursement.
Responsible for ensuring that Medicaid Drug Rebate claims are paid within the federally legislated time constraints.
Manage a third party government price reporting provider and ensure that late and file appropriate price factors for the federal drug programs. Such factors include, BP, AMP, ASP, PHS/340B, NFAMP, FCP/FSS, TriCare and Medicare Part D These price factors are utilized for federal drug pricing (PHS and FCP/FSS) and drug reimbursements (Medicaid, Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D and TriCare) for federally mandated drug programs.
Lead monthly review and approval of price factor calculation reporting
Assist with the gathering of information/data and preparations of physician payment transparency reports as specified in the Physician Payment Sunshine Provisions
Assist with the gathering of information/data and preparations of reports for states with existing and future reporting requirements
Ad hoc financial reporting as necessary
Qualifications and Experience
5+ years in Pharma industry working with state and federal pricing, reporting, and rebate programs is required.
7-10 years overall experience in professional, operational environment.
Bachelor?s degree in accounting/finance
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Public accounting experience in a Big 4 national or regional accounting firm highly preferred.
Solid understanding of accounting concepts required;
Proven attention to detail, strong organizational skills, an ability to provide professional customer service to internal and external customers alike.
Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles especially revenue recognition and related SEC compliance
The ability to clearly and concisely document technical accounting and reporting matters.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to interact with co-workers and various levels of management needed.
Enjoy working in a fast paced, high volume environment with the ability to meet deadlines
Be able to meet the rigorous deadlines of a public company, multitask and prioritize responsibilities
