Lead the specification, architecture, design and development of antennas and RF systems for Jawbone?s innovative mobile lifestyle productsCore Responsibilities:
Architect the RF sub-system to optimize overall system performance
Design, develop, prototype innovative antenna designs to optimize performance, form factor and cost
Setup and maintain a state-of-art RF lab and RF development software
Drive an RF platform based approach that can be used across multiple product lines
Drive technology development in the RF area and propose internal development and external technology integration plans
Provide technical leadership throughout the complete product development cycle. Lead design reviews
Debug and help resolve performance and functionality issues in the complete system
Manage and/or coordinate with a diverse set of cross-site technical contributors, including internal teams, sub-contractors and vendors to successfully transition the system into high volume manufacturing
Requirements:
10+ years of ?hands-on? experience in developing RF systems, front-ends including antennas for complex, power and cost-optimized consumer electronics systems ? at least two systems that went to volume production
Expert at miniature, body-worn antenna designs
Expert at RF performance optimization
Expert at discrete RF circuits design
Experience with RF CMOS designs is a plus
Must be a team player and possess excellent oral and written skills
Must have demonstrated project leadership skills
Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in EE related discipline
