RF Systems Engineer MobileAccess Networks

Corning MobileAccess is actively seeking an RF and Systems Engineer to join our team in Vienna, VA. This candidate will be responsible and accountable for providing expertise on a of variety technical aspects, specifically RF and wireless technology and to include other system related topics such as power budget thermal analysis and software management related to the CMA products.
The RF and Systems Engineer will report to the Director of Product Management and work with the product managers and cross functional teams to ensure appropriate architecture support, to provide guidelines on special configurations and to lead product carrier testing and certification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: Support Product Management Team on cross platform architecture and special configuration analysis. Provides technical guidance and RF expertise to cross functional teams, specifically Solution Engineering, Training, and RF Design. Lead new product carrier testing/certification. Conduct interoperability and proof-of-concept testing. Provide technical analysis on RF and system parameters. Provide expertise on carrier and RF standards. Support testing and analysis of competitive solutions. Lead special/custom projects such as eFemto integration and location solutions testing. Develop documentation, such as white papers, technical notes, and deployment recommendations. Support sales and marketing in presenting the value proposition to key operator customers/operators.
Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering required; Master Degree in engineering preferred. 3 or more years experience in system engineering, RF design and simulation, or related field with a background from the wireless industry. Working knowledge of wireless industry protocols, RF system parameters, and an array of air interfaces to include CDMA/EVDO/GSM/UMTS/LTE/WiMAX, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, etc. Strong communication/presentation skills. Ability to present highly complex technical issues for various audiences. Strong collaboration and cross functional partnership skills; ability to influence internal colleagues from all business and technical functions. 30 domestic travel required.
