Risk Team, Developer Operations Engineer Xoom
Xoom Corporation is revolutionizing the international money transfer market by providing people with an easy, secure, convenient and cost-effective means of sending money worldwide. We are looking for talented dev-ops engineers to help us strengthen our world class risk prevention and mitigation systems in order to successfully combat cybercrime.In this role, you will be responsible for helping shape the future of mission critical risk systems. You will be collaborating closely with engineering, operations and IT to define and maintain our risk infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Constant desire to automate
Expert in at least one major scripting language
Administrative proficiency on Unix systems is a must
Desire to trace issues across the entire technology stack
Time efficient in troubleshooting applications using a variety of tools
Experience with highly scalable production systems
Enjoys creating monitoring reports, graphs and general statistics
Relentless attention to detail
Passionate learner and technology adoptee
Excited about reacting to problems and finding workable solutions
Comfortable using REST, JSON and other web service concepts
Ability to clearly communicate and document, verbally and in writing
Kudos for experience with Splunk, Cacti, Ganglia, Nagios, Jenkins and Maven
Desired:
Knowledge of financial systems
Experience maintaining noSQL solutions e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4J, Redis
Education:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience
