Risk Team, Software Quality Engineer Xoom
Xoom Corporation is revolutionizing the international money transfer market by providing people with an easy, secure, convenient and cost-effective means of sending money worldwide. We are looking for talented software quality engineers to help us strengthen our world class risk prevention and mitigation systems in order to successfully combat cybercrime.In this role, you will be responsible for helping shape the future of mission critical risk systems. You will be collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations to develop comprehensive test automation and be creative in implementing realistic risk simulations.
Qualifications:
Desire to break things others have implemented
Expert in at least one major scripting language
Subtle understanding of difference between system, function and unit test design
Proficiency with Unix systems is a must
Time efficient in troubleshooting applications using a variety of tools
Experience with automation tools such as SoapUI and Selenium
Hands-on experience with data gathering and data transformation using SQL and XML technologies
Relentless attention to detail
Passionate about documentation and creating reports
Comfortable using REST, JSON and other web service concepts
Ability to clearly communicate, document, and triage defects, verbally and in writing
Kudos for experience with Java, Groovy, xQuery, xPath, Splunk and Maven
Desired:
Experience with online fraud and anti cybercrime tools and services
Knowledge of financial systems
Experience with performance and load testing
Working knowledge of noSQL solutions, e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4J, Redis
Education:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience
