JOB POSITION: RPG Software Engineer

JOB LOCATION: Ann Arbor, MI

JOB SUMMARY: The position is to develop and maintain software solutions utilizing analysis, design and coding skills. There is a fair amount of cross-team collaboration within Infor on projects requiring good team and communications skills, both written and verbal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analysis and design of software solutions for business issues
• Using a computer language to code programs that fulfill customer requirements and needs
• Communication and collaboration with various teams within Infor
• Requirements gathering to aid in the design of software solutions
• Developing written specifications detailing software solutions to requirements
• Providing technical assistance to implementation and support teams

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5 years or more programming in the RPG IV and RPG ILE languages
• Automotive industry knowledge is a plus

Required Skills:

• RPG/RPG IV/RPG ILE
• XML
• EDI formats (X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE)
• Familiarity with communication protocols (FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, OFTP/OFTP2) â€" some or all
• Good knowledge of the iSeries operating system and environment
• Competent user of Microsoft Office Applications
• Good written and verbal communications
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work alone or in teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
