Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop, test and support Web applications
Remain up-to-date on developments in relevant technologies
Qualifications
Requirements:
1+ years hands-on experience building Ruby on Rails applications
Strong core Ruby programming
Experience programming with web APIs (preferably REST)
Experience using version control systems (SVN, CVS, Git)
Experience with the Agile Development process
You must be detail-oriented and self-motivated with a passion for doing it right.
You must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact effectively in a team environment.
Experience with any of the following are pluses:
Developing web APIs
Design Patterns and Refactoring
Web application optimization and scaling
OAuth (and other common Auth schemes)
AMQP, RabbitMQ
NoSQL systems
Search indexing
Sinatra
JQuery, Backbone.js
Online video in any respect
Web Analytics and Data Mining
Natural Language Processing
Participation in relevant Open Source projects
