SaaS Cloud AutomationOperations Engineer

The company is currently seeking to add a Cloud Operations Engineer to our team.
In this role you will have a hands-on opportunity to address critical marketplace innovations by pushing the envelope of public cloud services with cutting edge technologies in an enterprise level cloud company. The role will concentrate on the design, implementation and administration of Amazon AWS Cloud services, including Linux, node.js & MongoDB. Included in the focus areas are the evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components, and monitoring, deployment, security & provisioning tools. You will be part of a highly skilled A-Team addressing security, reliability, performance, availability and scalability of the platform.
Collaborate with both Ops and Engineering teams to develop, deploy and support a top-tier enterprise cloud solution.
Automate with configuration management modules and scripts. Scoff at the manual and redundant administrivia.
Implement tools for deployment, provisioning, monitoring, performance trending using the industry?s best practices.
Participate in on-call rotations.
Define and lead proofs of concept to support the use of cloud computing.
5+ years of real-world experience with Linux based operating systems (RedHat and/or Debian-based distributions).
Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
3+ years experience supporting high-traffic, public-facing production environments.
Experience with large-scale public/private IaaS (cloud) deployments. Preferably with AWS, Rackspace, Joyent, Eucalyptus, OpenStack, and/or OpenNebula, though others are good, too.
You're comfortable deploying and supporting the usual suspect services & protocols. (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, SSH, LDAP, SSL, NTP, DHCP, UDP, TCP, SMB, SNMP, ad nauseam).
In-depth experience deploying and configuring monitoring and trending software and services (Zenoss, Cacti, Nagios, Munin, CloudKick, etc).
Ability to program in an administrative language (Python, Ruby, Perl, shell).
Practical experience deploying and maintaining configuration management systems (Puppet, Chef, cfengine, etc).
An understanding of relational and NoSQL database systems (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, CouchDB, or Cassandra).
Keen troubleshooting skills. You can find the marble in the oatmeal.
