General Purpose/Objectives:
The sales and business development engineer is responsible for managing pre-sales
business efforts with both an internal and external focus. The internal focus is for
managing the quote and RFQ process for major customer engagements. The external
focus will be on driving business development initiatives for new product or market
opportunities. Sales and business development will be the primary contact point for
multiple parts of the company for actively driving and managing the overall technical
sales process, working in conjunction with the technical sales team and Intematix
channel partners as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products.
The sales development engineer will provide significant contribution to new product
sales and gain exposure to all levels and all functions within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Identify new customers and markets, providing qualified leads to the sales team.
? Develop sales collateral for sales team and channel partners.
? Collaborate extensively with sales, product marketing, engineering, logistics and
manufacturing to create strategic and creative solutions for customer requests.
? Provide sales, technical support and product training to Intematix channel partners
? Convey customer requirements to product management and development team.
? Represent product to customers and at field events such as tradeshows and
conferences.
? Execute pricing strategies with field sales and channel partners and manage the
price quotation system under the guidance of product marketing.? Assist with planning and execution of new product launches.
Required Qualifications:
Ideal candidate must be experienced and self-motivated with a successful track
record working with cross-functional teams. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere
of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess
strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate professionally. Organized and
analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive
approaches.
? Minimum of 1-2 years experience in sales and sales development positions
? A Bachelor Degree and/or Masters Degree in Engineering or related field
? Experience and familiarity with solid states lighting, LED components and lighting
system a plus
? Demonstrated skills to manage a multiple projects simultaneously.
? Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
environment
? Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software
applications
? Must be self motivated with a passion for success
? Prefer someone who enjoys the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a fast growing
company
? Proficient in English a must.
