This position will primarily be doing phone calling to specialty physicians (e.g. radiology, Emergency Medicine, anesthesiology, pathology, multi-specialty) and to hospital administrators or executives. These are very tough audiences to reach on the phone so persistence is required along with a professional attitude. We expect the Sales Associate to regularly touch base with our data base of prospects and identify when they have a need for our services.
Sales Associate will use our Salesnet CRM extensively to document all calls and interactions, and to capture updated prospect information.
Sales Associate will make follow-up calls to most of our website visitors: e.g. to confirm that they received the whitepaper requested and ask if we can be of any additional assistance.
Out-bound calling: 80 to 120 calls per day; professional voice mail left where contact is not reached. Typically 4 to 12 attempts are required to reach a target. As a result, we expect an average of 5 to 10 conversations per day
Appropriate email follow-up with prospects: e.g. a ?thank you? note for a conversation that summarizes and describes next steps, a whitepaper that matches the prospects needs, etc.
Assign qualified prospects to sales reps with all applicable information captured during the qualifying call documented in Salesnet.
This position is part of the company?s marketing organization with a primary objective to generate qualified leads for the company?s outside sales and client management organizations.
This position is located in Warren, NJ. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Little travel is expected. Salary commensurate with experience. Bonus paid for sales that result from Sales Associate generated leads. Medical plan, dental plan and 401 K. Required Experience and Qualifications:
Background in successful sales or sales support, lead management, telemarketing or fundraising experience, preferably over the phone.
Strong interest in sales and a sales career.
Strong listening, probing, and outstanding phone skills.
A ?hunter? mentality and an innate ability to find and nurture quality prospects
Customer satisfaction focus.
Strong interpersonal and client interface skills
Experience working in a goal-oriented environment.
Able to work flexible hours as required (some physicians are best reached early in the morning or late in the afternoon)
Strong organization and prioritization skills; proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Self starter, self motivated, self managed
Bachelor?s degree required
Healthcare experience is preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong computer and presentation skills
Thoroughly familiar with the use of spreadsheets, word processors, and the web
General understanding of the function of knowledge of CRM application (e.g. Siebel, Salesforce, Goldmine, SAP etc.)
