Description:
This is an exciting opportunity within the Sales Operations Team. This position interacts with the entire Quidel sales organization, senior management, and Marketing. It also works closely with Manufacturing, Finance, and Information Systems. Be a part of our success! Analyze, interpret, and present actionable information to field sales, sales management and Quidel senior management providing a valid and reliable basis for strategic and tactical sales decisions. Calculates payments to field sales and sales management based on commission plan provisions, and analyses returns for promotions and contractual agreements. Responsible for on-going trend analysis with recommendations to senior leadership of areas for continuous improvement. Compare and resolve discrepancies between Finance, Sales and Marketing data in the reporting of company revenue and distributor outsales. Communicate with corporate accounts, Management and Finance to assure appropriateness of support and data.
Requirements:
Education and Experience: - Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred. - Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience required in areas such as financial analysis, sales, or other related experience. Prior experience with compensation analysis preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Skills: - Strong analytical abilities. - Extensive computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), knowledge of Crystal Reports programming and SQL script writing required. - Proven problem solving abilities. - Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently on complex issues. - Excellent analytical skills. - Ability to think strategically and bring a high level of creativity to the organization. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Able to verify and follow through, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments and communications related to sales compensation plans and distributor incentives. - Understanding of the medical/surgical sales environment for both primary and acute care through distribution preferred but not required. - Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures of field sales. - High degree of ethics and professionalism with ability to handle confidential information. - Personal ethics and integrity necessary to develop a leadership style that embodies best practices and highest corporate values.
