The Sales Contract Manager is ExteNet?s senior customer facing representative and internal leader who is responsible for working with Wireless Carriers and venues to collaboratively work with Sales Teams in negotiating, coordinating and managing the Company resources required to bring new business opportunities to closure as revenue generating contracts.
The Sales Contract Manager is a proven manager with a solid track record in managing the overall contract management process across both our carrier and venue Sales Teams. Contract Manager is responsible for supporting the Company?s wireless carrier customer and venue sales teams at all stages of contract formation and administration, from initial proposals through contract negotiation and execution and later amendment, renewal or termination, by serving as the principal point of contact, process manager and workflow coordinator among the sales team, customer personnel and the various ExteNet teams responsible for contract preparation, fulfillment, accounting, compliance and enforcement.
This position reports directly to the Sr. VP Sales & Marketing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Proposal Preparation ? Preparing or coordinating and assuring quality, accuracy and consistency in the preparation and delivery of all customer and venue sales proposals, including responses to RFPs and RFQs; working with the network design, implementation and operations teams, as well as the finance/accounting and legal teams, as required to screen business opportunities and compile formal proposals and responses that are consistent with existing master agreements and the Company?s business models.
Contract Preparation Process Management - Initiating and tracking the contracting process from initial drafting through submission to customers and venues, negotiation, revision, execution and delivery; working with the front-line sales force, the legal team and the various teams responsible for fulfillment or ongoing performance to assure that changes to proposed business terms or approved contract language are properly vetted and approved.
Sales & Venue Contract Negotiation, Performance, Compliance & Enforcement - Serving as the point of contact for customers and venue owner/operators on all contractual matters from initial negotiations to issues of performance, compliance and change management; functioning as the principal intermediary to facilitate communications and interactions between customers and venue owner/operators and the relevant ExteNet personnel, ensuring timely review and approval, resolution of issues, reconciliation of changes or inconsistencies in terms and documents, response to complaints, etc.
Sales Contract Database and Tracker Administration - Overseeing the administration and maintenance of the customer and venue data base(s) and associated reports and trackers related to proposal and contracting activity in order to assure the information therein is current, complete and accurate so that it is useful and actionable in the Company?s efforts to convert good opportunities into profitable contracted business rapidly and efficiently, and then to sustain and enhance the contractual relationships during ensuing periods (renewals, expansions, etc.).
Sales Record Management ? Maintaining and overseeing the maintenance of records related to the customer and venue contracting and contract management processes; including but not limited to records of all substantive communications and contacts such as proposals, quotes, correspondence, contact information sheets, change requests, payment demands, default notices, etc.
Sales Contract Communication, Consultation and Training - As needed, and in collaboration with the Legal Services and Accounting/Finance teams or others, providing summaries of key terms, guidance on particular contract issues and training in sales contracting practices and procedures to Company personnel whose responsibilities and duties involve carrying out or supporting the sales contract management process.
Contracting Process Improvements - Developing and implementing improved procedures and practices for sales contract management and administration in compliance with company policy, as appropriate, contributing to or influencing company policies.
Contractual Risk Management - Working with Executive, Accounting/Finance and Legal Services teams to ensure adherence to broader strategic, financial, regulatory compliance, legal liability and operational risk management policies and requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, tax reporting and planning, financial covenants, required insurance and surety arrangements, etc.
Business Intelligence and Customer Relations - Monitoring and documenting competitive terms; monitoring and reporting customer satisfaction and/or problems with our contract terms and conditions and contracting processes.
At least five years? experience in contract management with demonstrated record of success in negotiating/closing high-rate of contracts
Prefer an individual with a background in the wireless industry.
Prefer an individual who possesses strong business acumen and has demonstrated this skill set in the context of effective communications at senior executive (C-Suite) levels within the wireless carrier community.
Extensive experience in managing or coordinating direct and indirect teams and experience in new business development.
4 Year University Degree
Formal or Informal Training in Contract Management, including basic concepts of business, commercial and property law.
This position requires a person of intelligence and integrity who is highly motivated, team-oriented, and enjoys organizing and coordinating projects and processes involving many people and issues; the successful candidate will have demonstrated a capacity for strategic understanding, maintaining focus on relevant issues, and careful attention to priorities and detail, as well as an inclination toward a healthy balance between commitment to producing concrete results and to building and maintaining effective systems and processes.
