Summary:
The Sales Development Associate will be responsible for demand creation and first line telesales to call on leads generated from marketing sources primarily via the telephone.
Principal Duties:
Execute sales prospecting activities.
Introduce company, product solutions and value proposition.
Penetrate all levels (C-level, VP, and Director) and identify buying coalition of an organization.
Profile and fully qualify leads.
Identify target customers, create lists and research prospective organizations and vertical markets.
Evaluating the value and viability of a prospect or organization
Promote and cultivate qualified leads and appointments to the Account Executive.
Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the Company's products, technical architecture, industry characteristics, and competitive environment and be able to effectively communicate to customer senior management.
Manage time, work load and prioritize activities for multiple territories.
Prepare sales documentation and activity reports as needed.
Make 100 outgoing calls to new business accounts daily.
Respond to incoming calls from, and make outgoing calls to new business prospects.
Take ownership of inquires and coordinate with manager and other appropriate parties to insure customer satisfaction.
Participate in territory team calls.
Respond efficiently, accurately and courteously on all customer related transactions through written, verbal and electronic communication.
Responsible for administration of all Channel Partner Opportunity Registrations, ORB.
Develop a strong sense of teamwork with the territory Storage Architect, Account Executive and Inside Account Manager as it relates to the strategic selling process.
Provide marketing with closed loop feedback on all leads.
Proactively maintain and service leads assigned to your team to ensure consistent growth of territory customer base.
Work closely with marketing, inside sales and field-based teams to comprehend intent of specific campaigns.
Take ownership of inquiries and coordinate with manager and other appropriate parties for prompt resolution of issues.
Constantly update the customer relationship management database.
Perform duties in a complete, timely, energetic, courteous, friendly, sensitive and proactive manner.
Responsible for achieving both team quota and personal objectives. Partially responsible for territory?s success or failure.
Education
Bachelor degree in Business or equivalent degree and experience.
Qualifications
Capable of listening, understanding, and conveying information in a helpful manner at all levels of customer understanding.
Proven skills and successful teamwork history, as displayed through consistent over quota performance.
Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining superior relationships with customers.
Strong problem solving and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Willingness to learn and change responsibilities as the company grows.
Knowledge of high availability enterprise storage solutions involving Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SAN?s, and Disaster Recovery helpful.
Experience working in a call center helpful.
Excellent computer skills working with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations tools.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Contact Management systems.

Compensation for this position will be up to $40,000 base, with and additional $50,000 possible in commission, based on experience.
