As a Sales Development Specialist, you?ll directly influence sales success and company growth and enjoy competitive base salary plus commission. Whether you?re researching and targeting key prospects or existing clients, managing direct mail campaigns and follow-up strategies or tracking and measuring results, you?ll play a crucial role in ExactTarget?s business development. Data driven with proven processes to help ensure your success, this team-oriented role will help you gain the knowledge base to develop a long-term career within the industry?s largest sales organization. This position is based at ExactTarget headquarters in the historic Century Building in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.
?Research high-quality sales opportunities using competitive intelligence and present findings to your assigned field sales team that drives them to close.
?Partner with your sales region and Business Development Managers to apply our proven Lead Generation methods through prospecting activities and dynamic marketing campaigns.
oDetermine target list of companies and contacts monthly
oAcquire referrals and further contact information as needed
oManage campaign deployment and follow-up schedules
oQualify new opportunities using established ranking criteria
oConduct introductory calls with director level and above prospects
oCollaborate with sales team to transition qualified opportunities and ensure timely follow-up by documenting relevant information via Salesforce.com CRM
oGenerate interest and drive attendance to regional events and webinars
?Track and measure overall success, provide weekly sales region updates and regional sales support.
?Attend and travel to trade shows, conferences, and events
?Working with existing accounts to help qualify opportunities and potential iGoDigital involvement
Requirements?Bachelor?s degree (Business/Marketing preferred)
?3+ years of marketing or sales experience
?Experience with web-based, on-demand/ASP software and model tools
?Excellent oral and written communication skills
?Strong interpersonal and team building skills
?Passion for data-driven, detailed, and collaborative environment
?Love for technology and sales
?Persistent, yet professional manner
?High motivation to succeed
?Salesforce.com CRM knowledge preferred
