Description
The Sales Development Team Supervisor will be support for recruiting, leading and mentoring an internal telemarketing organization to drive lead qualification and follow-up. The Supervisor will manage 3 to 5 in-house telemarketers and 1 or more vendors. The Supervisor will also be responsible for making calls to qualify leads and obtain appointments for the sales team. The position reports to the Director of Lead Generation and Marketing Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Document and monitor sales development operations, including productivity tools
New hire training and team development
Procure, train and manage outsourcing vendor(s)
Create reports and analyses on call center processes and performance metrics
Develop call scripts for use with lead qualification and generation.
Closely interface with Sales organization to ensure alignment.
Make outbound calls to sales prospects in target industries to qualify leads and set appointments for direct sales force.
Following up on leads, build long term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with potential and new customers.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines
Experience managing 3rd party vendors, contracts and outsourced operations
Ability to set clear direction and to train others in telemarketing/telesales function
Skilled in motivating and managing performance of telemarketing/sales resources
Results oriented
Experience with CRM software, Salesforce.com preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Education/Experience:
BA or BS degree
Experience in telemarketing/sales management for software or technology company
Prior experience managing small teams
Prior sales experience required
