The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying new opportunities and closing Greenfield business for the assigned Cadient Group technology-enabled solutions portfolio and target accounts. Qualified candidate will have working knowledge of the healthcare marketing industry, including how brands come to fruition, from pre-launch clinical through launch and into post-launch marketing.
Essential Functions:
Industry Knowledge; Experience with software marketing solutions required
Knowledge of healthcare marketing (pharma, biotech, med device) strongly recommended
Exposure to thought leader/professional advocacy function, eMarketing, clinical trial operations, and Program Analytics desired
Selling: Â
Articulate product features verbally and through demonstration
Sell Solutions in a consultative fashion; recognize customer needs and apply appropriate CG technology-enabled solutions as a result
Be versed in, and able to execute assigned goals and tactics within CG Sales Plans; effectively implement plan to grow acquired accounts
Be familiar with existing and potential partnerships and be able to identify areas of opportunities associated with each
Work with the Product, Implementation, and Engagement Services managers within Cadient Group to prepare proposals, RFI/RFP responses and new business presentations, including creating presentation strategies and analyzing opportunity assessments
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quota
Prospecting:Prospect healthcare companies in an effort to land the opportunity to demonstrate and explain the company’s products and experience Develop opportunities to sell CG technology-enabled Solutions, Engagement and Support services via cold calling, networking, partnership relationships, and industry events Research and evaluate opportunities for CG to win business opportunities with current and new healthcare enterprises Identify potential new partnerships for development by management for channel selling opportunities
Administrative:Provide detailed overview of activity and potential opportunities being pursued to Business Development team and   management on a weekly basis
Attend weekly sales meetings to report on and discuss credible opportunities
Track all touches with customers through the use of CRM system
Proactively fill pipeline, manage opportunity status, etc.
Knowledge of healthcare industry in and pharma e-marketing tactics and trends
Personable, well-spoken, engaging, ability to develop client relationships
Strong communication and presentation skill
Must be able to work independently
Working knowledge of salesforce.com a plus
Customer relationship management â€" customer focused mindset
Highly developed communication and written skills
Entrepreneurial (self-starter) and action-oriented
Experience working under quarterly and annual sales quota
Must be willing to travel regionally and country-wide roughly 20% when needed
5 -7 years’ experience selling with proven track-record
Experience selling and presenting digital multichannel marketing platforms
Experience working with partner vendors in co-present/promote situations
