Sales Director - Mobile Nominum
Nominum empowers Communication Service Providers (CSPs) to quickly and cost effectively deliver personalized services that provide a differentiated, safer customer experience, generate revenues and build brand loyalty. Nominum's N2 Platform is an open, scalable service delivery platform that leverages customer behavior data from the DNS and other network sources and monetizes the data through intelligent policy management and notification-based service offerings. The N2 Platform processes over 1.5 trillion DNS queries daily and is easily layered upon existing network infrastructure with no additional hardware. Nominum is a global organization headquartered in Redwood City, CA.
The Sales Director will be responsible for the following key activities:
All customer facing communication for the region;
Expanding the sales opportunities within the region by locating new opportunities with Enterprise in the region;
Discovering new potential accounts to discover new opportunities;
Identifying and securing new high quality resellers;
Expand account and prospect account relationships;
Establishing marketing events that support demand generation and market profile for the company by working with Nominum HQ marketing team;
Work with Regional Vice President Sales in developing a suitable sales plan for the region and key accounts;
Provide accurate reporting and forecasting for the region;
Meet or exceed an annual sales quota.
Education and/or Experience:
University college degree or equivalent technical qualification;
MUST have successfully sold into large Enterprise and have good relationships and contacts with decision makers;
MUST have experience selling security and DDI solutions;
MUST be fluent in English;
MUST be fluent in language consistent with the sales region;
MUST have 7+ years of ?pure sales? experience in the networking or security industry with A) solid account contacts B) demonstrated exceptional sales track record (documented)- exceeded revenue targets C) high energy level D) goal driven;
MUST have deep knowledge of networking and enterprise networks;
MUST be willing and able to travel within the region 30-40% of the time as well as to conferences at Nominum HQ in the USA 2 to 4 times per year;
MUST be able to work effectively and efficiently as a self starter through proven self management processes in previous roles;
MUST be able to bring personal and professional telecommunications industry contacts to assist in the role.
Required Skills & Experience:
SHOULD have sales experience with appropriate ?target companies?;
SHOULD have demonstrated excellent communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to interact effectively with peers, internal/external clients and prospective clients;
SHOULD have knowledge of DNS and / or DHCP with Prior experience with large Enterprise and/or have knowledge of security, Web and application-level networking technologies;
SHOULD have value added application sales experience;
SHOULD demonstrate sense of humor, perspective, and balance.
