Sales Director, Mobility APAC Nominum

Reporting to the Manager of APAC Sales, the Sales Director Mobility SEA is responsible for providing lead service in the functional areas of Sales and Marketing, which may include supporting the US HQ finance group as well as general administrative tasks.
Nominum is looking for an experienced sales director who has prior experience selling IP Networking, software applications and/or Security software and/or hardware products/services to Mobile Network Service Providers in the Asia Pacific market. This individual will have numerous established relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Mobile/Wireless service providers and have experience managing the sales cycle from opportunity identification to live network deployment of the technology.
This candidate can be located in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok or Singapore and must have established senior relationships at the target key companies listed at the end of the document.
The Sales Director Mobility SEA will be responsible for the following key activities:
All customer facing communication for the region;
Expanding the sales opportunities within the region by locating new opportunities with Tier 1 and Tier 2 mobility/wireless service providers in the region;
Penetrating deeper into existing Nominum accounts to discover new opportunities;
Identifying and securing new high quality resellers;
Expand account and prospect account relationships;
Establishing marketing events that support demand generation and market profile for the company by working with Nominum HQ marketing team;
Work with VP APAC Sales in developing a suitable sales plan for the region and key accounts;
Provide accurate reporting and forecasting for the region;
Meet or exceed an annual sales quota.
Education and/or Experience:
University college degree or equivalent technical qualification;
MUST have successfully sold into key Tier 1 and 2 Internet Service Providers in SEA and have good relationships and contacts with decision makers and purchasing at mobile/wireless telecommunication companies;
MUST have experience selling applications to business teams and/or marketing, service creation or other new services teams
MUST be fluent in English;
MUST have 10+ years of ?pure sales? experience in the networking or security industry with A) solid account contacts B) demonstrated exceptional sales track record (documented)- exceeded revenue targets C) high energy level D) goal driven;
MUST have deep knowledge of wireless networking and wireless service provider EPC network infrastructure;
MUST be willing and able to travel within the region 40-60% of the time as well as to conferences at Nominum HQ in the California USA 2 to 4 times per year;
MUST be able to work effectively and efficiently as a self starter through proven self management processes in previous roles;
MUST be able to bring personal and professional telecommunications industry contacts to assist in the role.

SHOULD have sales experience with appropriate ?target companies?;
SHOULD have demonstrated excellent communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to interact effectively with peers, internal/external clients and prospective clients;
SHOULD have knowledge of DNS and / or DHCP with Prior experience with service provider / carrier customers and/or have knowledge of security, Web and application-level networking technologies;
SHOULD demonstrate sense of humor, perspective, and balance.
