We are looking for a driven and talented Sales Director to join the Nextag Media Ad Sales team and grow our display advertising business with clients in the Midwest and West regions. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge and strong rolodex of agency contacts. If you live for the thrill of the close, then we want you! Responsibilities:
Identify and sell significant, strategic accounts across a variety of categories
Generate minimum of $2.5 million in revenue from both Agency and Client direct relationships
Manage all communications and negotiations.
Work with ad ops to assure proper delivery, implementation, and optimization of online campaigns.
Act as liaison on all service, payment, reporting, and product-related issues.
Seek state-of-the-art approaches and practices within and outside the company.
Establish and cultivate relationships with key contacts internally across departments and externally.
Requirements:
Extensive online ad/agency sales experience.
Located in Chicago
Demonstrated history of strong relationships and strategic contacts throughout the industry.
Demonstrated the ability to generate a minimum of $3 million in annual revenue.
Requires minimal direction, with heavy responsibility for final results â€" limited only by company policies and budgets.
Has proven track record in getting to key client decision makers at senior levels of partner organizations.
Solid understanding of online advertising and marketing, including pricing structures (CPM, CPC, CPA, etc).
Experience in identifying and closing new online advertising opportunities.
Passion for negotiating deals, driving revenue, and running marketing programs.
Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with client and internal groups including; business development, marketing strategy and account services.
Strong communication skills with ability to work independently or cross functionally to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, and Word.
