General Description:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting market sales teams in acquiring new business. The SE will work closely with sales representatives, customers and prospects in providing technical guidance and developing solutions to customer?s problems. Support will include: discovery and definition of customer requirements, design and pricing of customer application solutions, assisting in customer presentations, approving all contracted sales from a design and engineering standpoint, interfacing with local and central service delivery and operations personnel to ensure a smooth hand off of all sales orders. The SE will support Peak 10?s solution selling methodology as the subject matter expert.Pre-Sales Engineering. The successful candidate will operate well in a fast paced environment which requires a high level of emotional intelligence. The ability to work collaboratively and effectively partner with team mates is required; as is a high energy level and passion to delight the customer and exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Engineering
Technical leadership with customers and prospects for pre-sales engineering
Discovery of customers critical business issues and requirements
Solution design to meet customer requirements
Participate in and assist with sales process and closure (solution selling)
Assist in customer presentations
Ensure accurate pricing of complex sales proposals and assist in RFP responses
Coordinate additional support as necessary for sales opportunities
Participate in Solution selling and understand your role
Service Delivery and Customer Experience
On-boarding and smooth transition from sales
Quality assurance for solutions delivered
Assist with backlog management
Responsible for customer implementations/provisioning
Build strong customer relationships and responsible for customer satisfaction
Technical Leadership
Interface with local and central Managed Services, Operations, Marketing, Support and Service Delivery organizations
Industry awareness ? continually seek industry and market information to provide Peak 10 with the information necessary for successful business development
Provide ongoing training to Peak 10?s sales organization
Recommend services and pricing improvements with all Peak 10 services
Act as a liaison with local partners to enhance Peak 10?s solution and service delivery
Training/mentoring ? promote the professional growth of the team
Ensure Peak 10 visibility to the local and regional market/community
Others responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor?s Degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Key Leadership Characteristics
Complex I/T Sales Engineering experience
Ability to call on C-Level Executives and Engineers
Proven track record
Passion and Persuasion
Problem solver and self-motivated
Integrity
At least 3 years technical experience
Customer support experience
Excellent writing skills/communicator
Sense of urgency
Positive ?can-do? attitude
