Work as part of the sales team to formulate account strategies
Design, build, and deliver effective presentations and demonstrations to Infochimps customers and prospects
Demonstrate products to small and large audiences
Develop competitive knowledge and leverage in sales cycle
Travel within the Region and possible other North American travel as well. Approximately 30-40% required.
Solutions
Discuss and articulate solutions to business problems with customer's and prospect's executives and staff
Own the technical relationship with the customers and prospects, and be responsible for ensuring a "Technical Win"
Conduct and lead customer Proofs-of-Concept
Be a trusted advisor to Infochimps customers and prospects
Provide detailed evaluation of opportunities, task plans, and technical approaches for projects
Product Discovery
Conduct requirements surveys at customer sites
Keep up with industry trends and best practices
Continue to develop and expand industry and product knowledge
Provide innovative thought leadership, strategies, and solutions to solve complex issues and business problems for Infochimps customers
Desired Skills & Experience
Sales Engineering
5+ years experience within the software industry
A minimum of 2 years experience working in a pre-sales capacity supporting packaged software solutions
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to lead a team to solve complex business / technical issues
Ability to work as a team, yet work independently on complex problems
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Good project planning and time management skills
Ability to build and support applications and / or core product demo systems
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Knowledge of business systems applications
Experience in systems analysis and/or client needs analysis
Languages, Tools, & Frameworks
Experience with "Big Data" tools & frameworks like Hadoop, NoSQL (HBase, Elasticsearch, HBase, MongoDB, etc.), Storm, Flume, Kafka, etc.
Experience with Ruby and/or Java
UNIX administration knowledge
