The Sales Engineer provides pre-sales technical support to a regional team consisting of a Regional Manager and Account Executives. While this role takes direction from the Regional Manager, it reports directly to the Vice President of Global Sales. The Sales Engineer is an integral part to a growing sales organization and will be paramount in establishing the technical win to both end user and channel contact relationships.Responsibilities
Lead technical conversations and presentations on general topics of High Availability and Disaster Recovery and their relationship to Neverfail solutions with potential clients and partners
Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Account Executives and Neverfail resellers to provide technical support in sales calls, sales presentations, product demonstrations and product trials and pilots
Be able to provide answers to customer inquiries concerning Neverfail software and applications, and customize and deliver technical product presentations and demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences
Maintain in-depth technical understanding of the High Availability and Disaster Recovery technology space
Support customers throughout product trials and evaluations
Oversee Neverfail's technical demonstration environments, both physical and virtual
Maintain in-depth technical understanding of Neverfail products and competitors and be able to construct and convey on-going competitive analysis and differentiation of Neverfail's offerings
Requirements
5+ years experience in technical presales roles
5+ years of relevant technical operating experience
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems, server and networking environments including: Exchange, SQL, IIS, SharePoint, File Server, and Active Directory
Understanding of clustering and data replication technologies
Computer Science Degree or demonstrable equivalent
Approximately 50% travel
