Sales Engineer Rogue Wave Software
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer who is a team player and willing to handle a wide variety of

Under limited supervision, facilitate the sales process of the Rogue Wave family of products to customers
and prospects across all US and Canada. Participate in the sales development process through product
expertise, including technical presentations, demonstrations, assisting in proposal creation, helping
customers with evaluations, and periodically providing on-site Rogue Wave technical assistance. Interface
with developers, managers and executives.
? Provide technical expertise and assistance to territory and account strategies.
? Establish key technical contacts in major accounts.
? Provide technical qualification for sales opportunities for all current Rogue Wave products and
? Assist sales in lead generation activities such as limited training, lunch and learns, executive
breakfasts, speaking engagements at user's groups, and post sales follow ups.
? Deal with open ended questions; build hypothesis and solution path and then work on creating
deliverables that lead to a solution.
? Provide product marketing with customer feedback.
? Gather key customer requirements quarterly to identify current and future trends.
? Act as primary liaison between sales, consulting, and development.
? Travel to customer sites as required throughout the US & Canada.
? Provide superior customer service and satisfaction to all internal and external customers.

Business and Technical Competencies:
? Solid knowledge and experience with C++ programming.
? Strong math, quantitative, data analytics skills, with recent experience in developing and deploying
predictive analytics technologies and processes.
? Strong technical background in programming and experience working hands-on with large-scale data
sets and statistical methods.
? Experience in Parallel and Thread programming, including low level concept such as thread
scheduling and locking mechanisms. HPC tools and technology (such as MPI, CUDA, Open MP)
experience is a plus.
? Ability to interact with and present to a wide range of technical and business customers.
? Predictive analytics tools (SPSS, Rapid Analytics, R, and CPLEX etc.) and statistical languages and
packages experience is a plus.
? Experience in GUI development and FORTRAN knowledge is a plus.
? Solid understanding of how technology and business integrates in a vertical market segment.
? Good understanding of enterprise application integration along with a good working knowledge of
cross platform development.
? Ability to identify technical issues as sales opportunities and knowledge of sales practice and
methodologies such as solution selling a plus.
Work Experience and Education:
BS or equivalent is required in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 3 - 7 years? experience in software development in C++. Previous experience as a sales engineer
is a plus.
