The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical support throughout the sales process. In order to accomplish this objective, the Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding the business requirements of prospective customers. The Sales Engineer must work with the Sales Directors and members of the Client Services team to deliver compelling product demonstrations which are tied to the company?s value proposition, develop detailed proposal responses, and provide ongoing feedback to the product management and development team. The ideal candidate has a track record of success in outperforming sales goals and delivering enterprise management IT solution to enterprises.
Desired Skills & Experience
Ensure technical wins during the sales process by explaining the benefits of Zenprise products (including but not limited to their architecture, features, technical/business benefits, etc.) to prospects through presentations, detailed discussions, product demonstrations, etc. in order to reinforce the value proposition driven by the Sales Director.
Participate in sales calls in person, via web conferencing or conference calls to understand and identify business needs of prospective customers.
Participate in all technical pre-sales activities including meetings, RFI/RFP, Proof of Concepts, etc.
Define and propose technical architectures (including associated business and technical benefits) which meet and exceed the objectives and requirements of prospects.
Articulate to prospects competitive differentiators of the Zenprise solution.
4 year college degree
At least 2 years of experience in a pre-sales role successfully deploying and selling sophisticated software and IT products to mid and large corporate markets.
Experience with at least one major Mobile or Mobile Management Solution.
Strong understanding of mobility solutions based on Blackberry Enterprise servers and ActiveSync.
Must have a good understanding of deploying IT based messaging solutions based on Microsoft Exchange.
Understanding of the technical components of an enterprise IT infrastructure including Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPNs, Virtualization.
Understanding of the networking and support challenges of wireless applications
Enterprise management tool experience: Microsoft System Center, HP OpenView and BMC Patrol/Remedy are a plus
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008.
Knowledge of Web based technologies such as Web Services and .Net.
Experience with Microsoft Certificate Services
Knowledge/awareness of IT security standards such as FIPS, SOX and PCI
Must be able to present complex solutions to varying levels within an organization, both business and technical
Experience with monitoring tools such as MS Operations Manager, HP Open view, IBM Tivoli and BMC Patrol are a plus
Must possess excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organizational skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and leadership ability.
Willingness to travel as required.
