Job Description:General Photonics, a leader in dynamic polarization and timing control for fiber optic systems, has an immediate opening for an application engineer position. The compensation is in the form of base salary and commission.
Job Requirements:The prospective candidate must have an engineering/science degree and 2+ years experience selling photonics instruments, equipment, or modules to defense industry, sensor industry, government, corporate R&D laboratories, photonics manufacturing facilities, universities, and the telecom industry. The candidate must be proactive and results driven. Must be able to proactively react and understand customer needs and actively create business opportunities. Must be able to develop approaches to achieve quotas.
