Job Description:As a Sales Engineer for ClearAccess, you will find yourself in a broadband management services company with fantastic growth potential. We are looking for individuals who can join the company and play a key role in establishing the company's sales engineering infrastructure focused on the cable and telco industry. The candidate will interface regularly with customers and strategic partners and will initially be the primary interface for customer engineering, escalated technical support inquiries, and ongoing customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Complete technical engagement with the customer
- Giving formal presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers
- Recommending product selection, technical architecture, and operational best practices
- Gathering market & customer requirements based on ongoing customer visits
- Coordinating with Account Managers and all other departments to ensure all necessary activities occur for enable a successful product sale and customer experience.
- Creating customer proposals (including the creation of RFP/Q responses)
- Leading and managing product trials/pilots and defining success criteria
- Ability to independently deploy, configure and demonstrate the solution
- Requires travel in North America
Qualifications:
- Must be a motivated self-starter and able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP Internetworking, QoS, NAT, routers, switches, firewalls
- Knowledge of IP, DOCSIS, DSL, WiFi, IP/Digital Video (e.g. IPTV, IGMP, MPEG2/4)
- Experience in software development on Linux, including network application programming, scripting, and automation. Experience with Web Services technologies a plus (SOAP, REST, HTTP, XML, HTML, javascript)
- Strong background in network, protocol and device troubleshooting using packet analyzers and other diagnostic tools. Experience in device interoperability testing and conformance a plus.
- Excellent oral, written and customer communication skills
- BSEE /BSCS preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to represent the company and its products to customers
- Self-motivated with agile mindset with the ability to identify roadblocks and take the initiative
- Ability to partner with Account Managers to drive overall account strategy
