JOB SUMMARY
A Sales Consultant's (SC) job entails working with Account Executives (AE) to develop account strategies and to give required product sales support to close business successfully. The sales consultant will work with an AE to research, understand the customer needs, and determine the overall business and technical solution. The SC is responsible for setting up and delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations and for responding to prospective customer's in-depth product questions and inquiries. The main duty is to understand the customer's business issues and align with the Accept offerings to determine the solution(s) that will provide the best business value.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualizing and communicating on how the company products and services affect sales opportunities within the organization
- Performing customer needs assessments and solution finding sessions
- Contributing to account strategy definition and reviews
- Understanding product capability gaps or functionality to define ways to handle them using partners, product enhancements, etc.
- Defining the best company products to address customer requirements
- Designing and delivering product presentations based on the necessities and competitive sales condition.
- Requesting and coordinating other resources required to support sales (i.e. product management)
- Providing responses for product and technical requests
- Participating at conferences, tradeshows, and other events as required by Sales Management and Product Marketing
- Providing knowledge and training on products to peers, new presales and sales staff
- Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions, features and benefits.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and good understanding of product innovation business issues
- Proven success-presenting technology as business solution
- Proven success selling in complex sales scenarios with technical and business buyers
- Able to make effective presentations or demonstrations in time constrained situations
- Team oriented; able to prioritize work in a multi-tasking environment.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments
- Strong selling and sales aptitude.
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Bachelors or advanced degree.
