The Sales Engineer is a key member of the sales team providing customers and sales representatives with in-depth technical product assistance during pre-sales discussions. This position assists members of the sales team in preparing demonstrations, assessing the complex technical and business process environments of our prospects and setting proper expectations with the prospect and professional services. In a post sales environment the Sales Engineers role is to ensure a smooth transition of the customer deployment from sales to professional services.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Participate in product demonstrations and sales presentations to prospects in complex selling situations
Gather and analyze business and technical requirements in complex selling situations to properly set prospect and professional services expectations.
Convey customer requirements to professional services, product management and technology teams
Develop and run regular sales meetings and educational activities to improve competitive and business process knowledge of the Sales team
Conduct employee on boarding product training for new hires in Sales Department
Participate in product roadmap discussion with the Product Management group
Bachelors degree required
Three to four years of pre-sales technical support experience. Experience in conducting online presentations is preferred
Excellent presentation skills, strong phone skills, exceptional listening skills and above average problem solving skills
Working knowledge of general business processes.
Prior experience with ERP Systems or systems integration required
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills including excellent writing and presentation abilities
