Position Purpose:
The Sales Engineer position will be an integral part of the Sales team that will partner with Field Sales Representatives to develop account-winning strategies and to provide technical product sales support for the Aventura solution. The Sales Engineer?s primary focus will be delivering technical expertise and consultation to hospitals and large ambulatory practices on the Aventura software platform and related environmental components. The position will support the Sales team by presenting/demonstrating the Aventura solution both remotely and in-person to prospects, customers and at industry conferences.
The Sales Engineer role needs to be able to work within a complex sales process and present our solution at multiple levels within the customer organization across various departments including ? clinicians, IT, and hospital administration. Successful candidates should have knowledge and experience supporting software or other technology to both clinicians and IT, and should have a strong technical aptitude. In addition, candidates should be inspired and motivated to work for a fast growing start-up with a unique market solution that addresses existing critical clinical workflow problems.
Position Description:
Deliver technical solution demonstrations and architectural consultation to persuade prospective customers that the Aventura solution best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
Responds to technical components of RFI?s and RFP?s to validate decision criteria
Work closely with customers, integrators and the Aventura team to ensure comprehensive and accurate transfer of information
Support channel sales with technical product details as required
Ensure customer and integrator success through quality implementation of Aventura?s product into the customer environment
Document and present relevant technical information
Collaborates with Product Development to help drive future product functionality based on customer needs
Build internal relationships with key functional groups to aid in problem-solving and in providing the customer and/or integrator with the information they need to be successful
Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to be the voice of the customer and to report product performance by providing detailed and timely product feedback and feature requests to product management
Support Sales and Business Development by providing technical and process information on calls or at meetings with prospective customers
Support channel partners in their sales efforts-as required
Travel estimated at above 50%
Skills Required:
5+ years experience in technology related software industry including Pre-sales Engineer or customer-facing Consultant
Experience within the Healthcare industry and knowledge of the different roles within a hospital setting is a strong plus
Technical aptitude must be high; experience with application and desktop virtualization infrastructures, Citrix, and/or VMware a strong plus
Proven track record of success supporting Sales in a highly competitive environment
A history of roles within a sales organization responsible for new customer acquisition and an culture in which income and job performance will hinge on those quantifiable revenue results

Education/Experience:
BA/BS degree or higher
Minimum of 5 years experience in related software industry
