THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We're looking for an Enterprise Sales Engineer to join our sales team in the Northeastern region of the U.S. If you are an accomplished Enterprise Technical Software sales professional who has been selling to commercial and financial services accounts and you are excited about working with the new challenges of Social Media and Collaboration, this is a great opportunity for you! You'll work with prospects to understand and document business issues, processes, create compelling presentations and demonstrations and contribute to the attainment of corporate revenue objectives. The ideal candidate is an intelligent and energetic consultant, who is results oriented, takes initiative and pays exceptional attention to detail. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills, and be adept at managing multiple projects and priorities. The candidate must absolutely have strong technical skills and hands-on pre-sales engineer experience to support the full Sales Development Life Cycle.
Presales support of field sales and federal sales team and reseller partners covering North America
Occasional short term post sales, consulting and training
Assisting sales with deal qualification, etc.
Presentation planning, creation and delivery both onsite and remote utilizing products like Webex, LiveMeeting, etc.
Assist with reviewing and completing RFI/RFP process
Product evaluation planning and management, evaluation implementation and support for Actiance's software and appliance products
Competitive differentiation throughout the sales process
Internal product and marketing document review and feedback
All pre-sales activities required to achieve the technical win in order to help acquire new customers
At least 5 years of SE and/or consulting experience - background with customer-facing responsibilities
Well rounded technical individual with hands-on ability and broad set of skills and product knowledge;
Networking/TCP/IP,HTTP, Firewalls, Proxy servers, IDS/IPS, http/s, SOAP, etc.
SMTP, SNMP, Windows, Linux, Solaris, SQL, Oracle, etc..
Collaboration and Social media expertise with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, IBM Connections, Microsoft SharePoint and other similar platforms
Hands-on product experience selling into regulated industries for companies like Proofpoint, ZL Technologies, Symantec (eVault), Vericept, Vontue, EMC, Jive, Yammer, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. or some other email archiving, DLP, Collaboration and Social Media products
Hands-on product experience selling network security products like Websense, Bluecoat, Cisco, Secure Computing, Check Point, Cisco or any vendor that sells URL Filtering, IDS, firewall or server-based anti-malware products
Professional; ability to interface with clients of all levels
Willingness to travel up to 40%
