Sales Engineer - Federal
The primary focus of this position is to lead customer engagements from a technical perspective while providing support for the sales team and customer. This position is located in or around the Washington D.C. Area.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Sales Engineer (SE) is responsible for all technical, solution, and competitive aspects of the sale
SEs must be able to demonstrate business value
They must be highly technical and have a deep understanding of IT security
The SE must collaborate across various internal business units
SEs must take ownership of customer accounts - pre and post sales
10+ years of enterprise selling or consulting experience in IT, security
Expertise in IP networking, packet capture and analysis
Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IPS, DLP, SIEM, log management, anti-malware, etc.
Familiarity with Windows, Unix and virtualized environments
Excellent presentation and writing skills
Willingness to travel
Active security clearance is a plus
