The Sales Engineer will be a key part of the Denver Region Field Sales Team. You will help close sales with technical expertise on the MegaPath Hosted Voice product set offerings. Additionally, you will provide pre/post-sales technical support to customers and function as a technical escalation liaison for customers and the Field Sales Team. You will:
Provide expert consulting, design, proposal generation, and engineering of all Voice, MPLS, or complex sales solutions
Work with customers to answer technical questions surrounding customer requirements to specify solution components to install MegaPath services
Present MegaPath?s technical capabilities and service benefits including demos to prospective customers
Work cross functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Service Delivery to understand and document customer needs and solutions
Develop detailed required solution design documentation used by Service Delivery or any other part of the organization
Ensure customer expectations are set accordingly through the order lifecycle
Work with the Field Sales Team around technical and product training
Travel locally to customer sites when required
Skills and Experience:
A ?People Person? and Team Player with leadership qualities
Build relationships with field sales reps, partners and customers
Customer service oriented
Help/ensure Sales exceeds quota ? know your sales team?s numbers
Strong understanding of VoIP (Broadsoft preferred) - voice services, phone systems, voice termination (analog, SIP, PRI), and call flow design
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, network design, routing, MPLS and secure IP networking requirements including IPSec, GRE, SSL, and VPN technologies
Understanding of CPE options offered within MegaPath portfolio
Understanding of Customer LAN architecture designs including switching (Port/Tag based VLANs), firewall, router, servers, and overall IP LAN design
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Visio
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience or training. CCNA, MCP, MCSE certification is a plus
