Sales Engineer AtTask
The AtTask Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the AtTask sales team. Sales Engineers are responsible for assisting and supporting the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. The successful Sales Engineer can make engineering jargon like program specs and technical requirements easily understood, explain how complex products work, and demonstrate how AtTask can meet the prospect's / customer's needs & requirements.
Responsibilities
Assess potential application of company products or services to configure and deliver product demonstrations / solutions that meet customer needs.
Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Able and responsible to respond to RFIs / RFPs / Security Questionnaires
Research and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products and or services.
Assist with product training for new Account Executives
Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
Able to travel throughout sales territory; < 50%
Qualifications
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of SAAS and Project Management technology. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for some travel.
2-5 years of relevant experience as a Sales Engineer
Experience and familiarity with AtTask products and PMI, PPM, PMO industry
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the project management field is a plus
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field
Familiarity with a programming language (Java, PHP, or .Net) preferred
