Objective
The AtTask Sales Engineer Manager will lead the US Sales Engineer team in providing pre-sales & post-sales design and technical product assistance during the sales cycle. The Sales Engineers are responsible for assisting and supporting the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products while also assisting existing clients with expansion opportunities.
The Sales Engineer Manager must be able to identify and articulate the support needs of the AtTask sales engineers and sales teams, while working with Sales Management and Operations to address those needs. The qualified candidate will be able to align the team resources in the most efficient and effective structure that is both responsive (available for meetings with prospects within 2 ? 4 days of request) and adds value to the selling process resulting in better win rates and longer term customers.
Responsibilities
?Supervise and manage the Sales Engineer Team
?Provide feedback and coaching to staff through regular communication and performance appraisals
?Mentor other staff members to share knowledge and best practices to advance the sales of AtTask products and services
?Work closely with sales management and operations to identify best practices in technology sales demonstrations and scripts
?Maintain up to date understanding of trends in project management tools and market needs
?Able to convey prospect / customer requirements to Product Management teams
?Able to travel throughout sales territory; some limited travel required
Qualifications
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in managing a sales engineer team in SAAS a sales model. Knowledge of Project Management technology is strongly preferred. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for some travel.
?Three years experience managing a SAAS sales engineer preferred or as a lead sales engineer
?Experience and familiarity with the Project Management, PMI, PPM, PMO industry; experience with AtTask products is a plus
?Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the project management field is a plus
?Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field
?2+ years prior experience in a technical sales environment as either a sales engineer or as a technical sales consultant preferred
?Limited travel required
