Sales Engineer Industrial Defender

Reporting to our VP, Security Solutions, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales engineering support to the sales team in an assigned region. The candidate should be a creative, analytical thinker exhibiting strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, presentation and persuasion skills. Technical knowledge, background and experience in one of more of these areas: software and hardware as a service (SaaS, HaaS), Outsourced IT, Managed Security, cloud, virtual desktop, virtual environments, network security, system backup or disaster recovery solutions is required. An entrepreneurial spirit is necessary as candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment; even-temperament and team-player collaborative aptitude is a must. Play an integral role in the success of the Sales team.
Work closely with the sales executives to present solutions to prospective clients and partners.
Develop content for and conduct product demonstrations and webinars.
Provide product descriptions and content for proposals in response to RFPs & RFIs.
Attend, present, and conduct demonstrations at trade shows and events.
Gather ongoing prospect/customer feedback and related information.
Work closely with the engineering team to keep them abreast of industry trends and customer requirements.
Leverage industry knowledge and experience to define and guide the customer requirements and configuration of solutions.
Elicit and document customer requirements.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Enterprise technology experience and/or industry recognized certifications such as Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, Cisco CCNA, CCNP or VMware VCP
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, developers and other subject matter experts.
Collaborate with customer IT, business team members, senior executives and subject matter experts to develop and quantify significant ROI's for solutions.
Experience in networking or host and network security is required.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based on client discussions.
Strong work ethic and a team player attitude with a deep commitment to customer satisfaction.
Results-oriented with a record of success in meeting deadlines.
Understanding of the Industrial Control systems desirable.
3-5 years of Technical support or ' pre-sales experience in the information/ enterprise technology space.
Ability and willingness to travel 40%+.
