Build tight relationships with the customer's technical and program teams
Total commitment to resolving customer technical challenges
Perform technical pre-sales support
Be on customer site for:
o First project delivery and help with installation/Integration
o Major acceptance tests cycles
o Addressing urgent issues (capture test results, perform initial analysis and assist in QA process)
Join and run kick off meetings
Manage the technical project process
Daily and weekly status reporting with R&D and Product teams
Support technical evaluation and demo processes
Address customer technical requests directly by solving initial issues before escalating to R&D
Perform daily project management and communicate issues within different customer divisions (QA, Development, PM)
FAE required Skill Set
Electrical, Software or Computer engineering degree
Excellent communication skills
Strong development background
Minimum 5 years of experience in development
Technical background to support the customer in platform bring ups and issues
Understanding in multiple operating systems. Pervious Android experience is required and Linux familiarity is a strong plus.
Understanding of mobile and/or IP-set-top-box and digital television environments and preferably embedded software UI and applications
Strong customer orientation
Pre-sales and proven successful customer interaction experience
Preference for project management experience
Location and Reporting
Silicon Valley based reporting to VP Sales & Business Development North America
Willingness and ability to travel extensively
Anyone who has worked for an embedded software company or consumer electronics device manufacturer is a good candidate. Experience in a pre-sales role with embedded software for device manufactures is highly desirable. Technical experience with content protection technologies (DRM, conditional access, link protection).
